Yes, it was just a general reminder . I just saw two threads where differing opinions were not going well...... The concept I was trying to convey was not in dictating how someone posts. It was trying to get across that no matter what our individual preferences are we will all make choices that will not be in agreement with each other. Just trying to point out that one is necessarily better than the other, just different in our approach getting there.

This forum is basically an entertainment forum, this is not a medical forum. For the most part we are all lay people who have studied, deciphered, analyzed, accepted and rejected information regarding health care and nutrition and doing what we feel is best for our pets. What one individual will decide appropriate for them another will disregard it as not quite right for them. Just because someone posts a link (s) in defense of their position does not make their position more factual or relevant. Even the authors of the links have their own biases when writing their articles and dispensing their "expertise" in a subject. Science is not an exact, even the "experts" in their field of study can't come to an agreement , so how are we lay people supposed to . For every link that's posted there will be a link in complete disagreement. Take it all with a grain of salt

Whether you chose to lean toward evidence based medicine or integrated medicine there are no absolutes. Each method has its flaws, just one of which concerning evidence based medicine is most (over half) of the peer reviewed and published clinical research is flawed, wrong, biased, with prejudice, and exaggerated. As for integrated medicine , we have the argument that some of the treatments are not "proven" therefore they have no credibility. The bottom line is neither one is perfect or without flaws and criticism. I just don't think it's necessary to tell another person they are wrong or it's necessary to make disparaging remarks when someone's beliefs run contrary to someone else's. Just to be clear, I'm not referring to issues that would be dangerous to a pets life.
