As of about two years ago sime things came to light about ingredients.

It can be called frsh because it is not frozen. The fish used was, in fact, considered fit for human consumption...and the preferred parts were taken at the human food processing factory. After the parts used for fish sticks were taken the rest is of the carcass was sent to Champion. Then (key word here) the rest of the usable parts were used in the dog food. Sounds like byproducts to me. Not necessarily a bad thing..except for the people buying their food because this is an ingredient they choose to avoid.
