It might be more of his personality of being possessive.... Have you tried using treats? Every time someone hugs you (start with your son/bf), give him a treat during the action. He'll start relating you hugging = treat! If he barks and starts acting up, walk away into another room out of view.

You might have to let him bark it out a bit. If you stop hugging or talking b/c he barks, he'll learn: barking = stop doing what he doesn't like.
