My girls all came home after 5pm same day of spay. They were dopey, but I was more comfortable being able to watch them. If they have pain during the night, you can give them meds.
BTW all my girls were spayed at close to 1 yr, after first heat, per my Vet's recommendation (to make sure growth plates were closed, and teeth were in). There are differing opinions as to when to spay, as you know. |
