I think your Lucy had a big heart and unlike me, had probably forgiven the whole horrible situation within days. She sounds like one of those amazing dogs who show us the way--the right way...calm, easy, loving; what a great gal. May God bless and help you heal. When it comes to loss of a loved one, aren't we all still children? What hurts, hurts and nobody can make it all better (just yet, anyway),
