My Duchess is the same way. She follow's me around and can be affectionate when wants it. But for the most part she is not a snuggler. She will tolerate moments of it but after a few minutes she is wiggling to get free. She does sleep in the bed with me but on her side of the bed with her pillow and blankie. She will occasionally cuddle up next to me but not all night. It depends on how chilly she is.
So I basically just let her come to me when she is ready But when I need some Yorkie lovin, I have to chase her down. She runs under her chair to keep me from picking her up. She has gotten better though. When I first brought her home, she would even lay next to me on the couch. At least now she is doing that.....baby steps I guess. |
