The reason it seems like there are a lot of unhealthy pups is because people generally post when they have issues. Also yorkies are very popular and seen as big money makers so puppy mills and bad breeders are breeding dogs and not caring about there health or genetics so we are having more yorkies with genetic issues. This is another reason it's not always good for a dog breed to be on the top 10 list of most popular dogs because then they become a way people want to make a fast buck.
