Our Dexter is now 9 months old and he's been with us for 6 months. He was a rescue and we knew NOTHING about Yorkies or toy breeds so we were learning on the fly. Yorkietalk kept coming up in every search for every question I posed to Google so I quickly figured out this was the place to be!
Having such a wee pup (he was 3.4 lbs when we got him at 13 weeks) was nerve wracking in the beginning. He seemed so fragile! But our little Dexter was a very engaging and friendly and active pup...we're very lucky. He's been relatively easy to train as he's very praise and treat oriented, although at times we suspect he's training us

His health has been great, the biggest trauma was his reaction to his rabies and distemper shots (He was pretty lethargic and not wanting to be touched for about 24-36 hours).
So, all in all, we are both head over heels for this new wee family member and we wouldn't change a thing. He's happy, healthy, affectionate, funny, loving and still growing like a weed. We're up to 9 lbs now so not sure how big he'll end up being

Enjoy your baby!
