! She sounds miserable and you must be sick with worry as well. I do have lots of experience w/ allergies and skin issues as 2 of my dogs have allergies and we have a Vet Dermatologist we go to.
Many allergy dogs get pyoderma (staph intermedius infection), so that's quite common as the skin gets inflamed and the immune system gets overwhelmed. It's usually treated w/ Simplicef x 30 days, especially if it's recurrent.
For relief, the first thing to do is to figure out whether these are year round or seasonal allergies....bc that sort of dictates treatment.
Are you seeing a Vet Derm? If not, find one ASAP as they will get you squared away super fast, rather than going to your own generalist vet like 5 times and still not getting this resolved. Vet Derms are more expensive, but are actually cheaper in the long run.
