I was also in a panic for a month or so when I first got my puppy. Someone here pointed out that those people with healthy puppies don't need to post questions. There are almost 500 babies that belong to member on this site, or maybe more, but only a small number post health issues. When you look at the AKC website and look at Yorkie health, they actually say they are pretty healthy and live long lives.
With that said, I would still recommend pet insurance because even without health issues, accidents happen. Health insurance allows you the comfort in knowing you can properly care for your little one no matter what your concern may be. Since I get free office visits, I can see the vet whenever I have a concern. I really like that feeling. |
