Yes, I love our vet too. You can always reach him after-hours through the answering service and I have his cell # also. We don't have an emergency vet hospital here in our town so it's great to have such contact with him. What really touched me is when I sat down with him for a heart to heart a few days after having to put our poodle down a couple years ago. He was so sweet and really understood my grief. He even ran into my dad a few days later and raved to him about how wonderful a mommy I was to that baby. A great vet makes all the difference in raising these pups, doesn't it??!
