I think if one spouse does not work, they should take care of all the house and/or child duties, whether it be the husband or the wife. But nowadays there aren't many households who don't have both people working. Seems like everyone except two sets of my aunts and uncles. Both couples are husband works, wife does not. Also they only had one kid each. Sure makes it easier than say both parents working with three kids, plus the grandparents. Hmm, no wonder they stayed married and my parents divorced LOL.
