You can't hide the facts certain things just make a bad breeder no matter how their kennel looks. Such as letting pups go home before 12 weeks, reputable breeders don't do that and it is stated by the Yorkshire terrier club of America that is the mother club of yorkies that they need to stay with there moms until a minimum of 12 weeks, they still are learning up until that point. A reputable breeder will not breed a female under 5 pounds because it is dangerous it can end in most times the female needing a c- section or it could end up with her and or the pups not making it and no reputable breeder would that that chance. Due to the fact that AKC is the only reputable registry in the USA and all others would let you register anything as anything reputable breeders only use AKC. Occasionally people can mess with the papers but generally if the pup is AKC it's more likely to be pure. I'm glad you were lucky but me personally will not buy from non reputable breeders and I will always speak up to help educate other people to do the same. Continuing to buy from these non reputable breeders keeps them in business and we don't need that not only is it bad for this beloved breed it's bad for the puppies. It can be very hard to learn things about people we trusted but that doesn't make it any less true. Knowledge is power. Please stick around there is so much to learn here, even I still learn new stuff.
