Thanks for all of the feedback. I was able to get my Smokie in to see the Vet. I took a stool sample and the test they ran all came back negative. Sent me home with a dewormer to give him when he feels better and told me to be consistent and give him chicken and rice for 5 days then gradually add his kibble. Said it was probably the food or the stress of having another dog in the home. This morning when he had his BM it had some blood in the diarrhea. I immediately called the vet and took a stool sample in for more testing to find out what was going on. Vet called and said Smokie tested positive for
Giardia. He will be starting his medication today. Hopefully this will clear up the problem and get him back to normal. He's been a real trooper through all of this. Can't say the same for me...
