107Barney, I don't necessarily think raw food is better. Actually I never even considered feeding raw in all my years of owning dogs. We switched to it out of desperation when we could not find anything else that agreed with this little guy's tummy. We started the goat's milk first because it was recommended to us by the owner of a small pet food store in our area, and when he did so well on it, we added the frozen cubes of food. So there is no real reason that you know of NOT to feed this particular food?
BTW, I commend you for home cooking for your dogs. Our last yorkie had both liver and kidney disease and required a very specialized diet. I home cooked for him for many years, and would gladly do it again.
The only special need this little guy has is a sensitive tummy. That he looks so much better since starting this food could very well be just because he's finally off the crap Pedigree food and eating something that is halfway healthy. The difference in his coat is pretty amazing though. When we got him from the shelter, his coat was short, dry, brittle and dull, and did not grow at all the first couple of months. In the past month or so, it has changed texture, is much softer, much shinier and is actually growing now.
Thanks for your input.
