 Raw Feeding?
Does anyone else here feed raw?
We adopted a 2 year old yorkie male from a shelter 3-4 months ago. He had only been fed Pedigree (yuk), and we have had a tough time transitioning him to a decent food. He would throw up just about anything we fed him except the Pedigree. We started adding 2 oz of Primal Raw organic goats milk to his food and it settled his tummy quite a bit, so I decided to try the Primal Frozen Lamb. He has done so awesome on this food. He has not thrown up once since we started it, and the difference in his coat is amazing. He is also still getting the goats milk. He has been on the Primal for about a month now, and he loves the food!
When I mentioned what we were feeding him to our vet, she did not seem thrilled about the choice, but couldn't give me any real reason not to feed it to him. Am I missing something though? Does anyone else feed Primal? Is there a reason you are aware of not to feed a yorkie raw food. We also started our two toy poodles on it and they're doing great with it too. Appreciate any input.
