My Cookie has PLE. She was scoped and diagnosed in Dec 2011 and has lymphangectasia and IBD. She is doing very welL! Just had a check up and her albumin is fine! She responded to treatment (antibiotics and prednisone in 2011 and was only this past year taken off of the prednisone). I definitely recommend a specialist and you might also want to consider a vet nutrition consult. As to the enlarged heart, many times this is true but not always a big issue. I am sure the specialist will help you with understanding the role of her heart. Hopefully not a big deal!
