I wash ZoE's toys in the washing machine with laundry detergent, and always do an extra rinse cycle.
With store-bought toys, often times the squeakers would no longer squeak after washing, and I'm paranoid about the possibility of trapped moisture in a plastic squeaker growing mold. So, I made some of my own squeaky toys and modified some bought ones, so there is heavy duty velco in one spot, so i can take the squeaker out before washing.
