You can help Bentley by working with him ahead of time using the same methods when preparing a family dog for the arrival of a newborn baby. You have the advantage of your breeder being near by, so If possible, I would provide him/her with a blankie for your new pup- the idea is to get her scent all over the blankie which you will present to Bentley several times a day. Each time Bentley takes a sniffs reward him with a high value treat. This will sensitize him to associate her scent with something positive.
