I had Brinks since 1991 until Brinks bought it, so now I've got ADT. The slightest bit of deterrence could mean a thief passes us up. The sensors are about 4 feet or so off the floor so Jilly or Tibbe never triggered the alarm and it's only gone off w/out any known reason 3 or 4 times in all those years.
