My little girl was diagnosed with necrotizing encephalis back in January of 2014. She started out very weak all of a sudden and could not get her balance and walk. A few days before this all happened she had a dental cleaning done and they pulled some of her teeth. After that she seemed to get worse and was very unstable and couldnt get up or walk and she was some what paralyzed on her right side and coul do not bear weight on it or she would fall right over. She was treated at an emergency for about before she could come home. She was put on prednisone and a few other meds to get the swelling down. The neurologist thought that it was encephalitis even though we opted not to do the mri due to fear of going under in her condition. Her recovery was long and was on pred for a few months but down she is doing better and off the meds and can walk. She still has some permanent brain damage and she is not like she used to be but it is better than she was in the beginning. She has some weakness in her legs yet and her head shakes a little but i am glad to have her here.
