I use fiesta ware fruit bowls, they're very shallow and lead free. I also use a metal bowl lift from Kohls, but it would be too high for a new puppy. The great thing about the metal bowl lift is you can use almost any bowls in it, that's why I picked it.

I don't think the wood bowl lift is a good idea, I think water getting on it will damage it and a puppy may chew it.
