She was seen by a specialist when we rescued her. We flew from the Island to the mainland where she underwent a complete battery of tests. The specialist said she was not a candidate for surgery and recommended we try treating her with meds and diet and we could maybe buy her some time but she would not likely live very long. That was a year and a half ago. |
