What a cute little fella!! Really, what difference does it make? You love him just the same right? I have an AKC Silky Terrier, and a what I believe to be a Silky/Yorkie mix. I think your Sammy looks all Yorkie to me. He looks very different than my Silky.
Don't let the size thing bother you. People think that just because a yorkie puppy isn't "tiny" they must be a Silky. In reality, both breeds can be bigger or smaller. My Silky is only 7lbs, which is small for a Silky. Yorkies are supposed to be square from a side profile, just like Sammie. That means their legs are as long as their backs. Silkies in comparison are more rectangle having a longer back than their legs. I like that side profile description because it shows how a Yorkie can be bigger and still be correct. His cute little face looks all Yorkie too though. Good luck with him. I hope he brings you many years of happiness.
