Wow! Thanks for that article. I just called my regular vet asking for some clarification of what exactly is happening because I'm so confused. He called the surgeon's assistant and called me back. The surgeon is doing the surgery where they make the groove deeper in the femur (top), then take a piece of the top of the tibia (bottom) off. Then with the tendons on either side, one is stretched too long, so he will shorten it and the other side is too short so he will make an indication to make it longer. Then the ccl will be replaced with a plastic implant.
