 HELP liver shunt seizures
I have a tiny 3lb 3 year old female who has a liver shunt and has been doing well on just meds and diet up until Friday when she started having seizures. Vet put her on phenobarbital. That has slowed the seizures but her pacing and head pressing has increased dramatically. She is lethargic, drinking gallons of water and wants to eat nonstop.
Does anyone have any experience with liver shunt and seizures? Vet tells me we are at end stage liver disease and that the phenobarb is buying her some time. I don't know how much time or will it be quality time. Any information would be greatly appreciated as we struggle with our decision. Thanks. |
