Your baby is adorable. Echoing what others have written above, definitely a matter of genetics. Some Yorkies, like the show dogs, will grow a coat to the floor in 1 year or less.
My boys' skirts (body) did not reach the floor until close to age 2. They are long legged, so that might have a little to do with it.
