It is shocking that he lost his fortune. His wife Rose has an equally interesting biography. She was from the Buckingham family of Chicago, an artist and land developer. She helped build some affordable housing for artists. Very much ahead of her time.
I need to find the previous thread in which you and others discussed Jeremy Piven's portrayal of Selfridge. He is good, but a bit one note. Not as inspiring as the Moray character who owns the store in The Paradise.
