This is exactly what I started to do! Teddy used to go to a Cruft's groomer but I think it got so busy there that the novices were allowed to groom when she was otherwise occupied. Because of her status, I used to be so paranoid to leave Mr Cottony Loves to Mat 3 seconds after being Released from the Comb and Making Mom's Hands and Face Sweaty with Stress in any 'normal' condition. Now, however, Ms Mobile Groomer aka Teddy's new girlfriend gets, "I'm really sorry - his fur is a pain - but he loves you - so, good luck!"
