Tibbe Yorkietalks all day - chortling, chirping, woo-wooing, barking, snippy growling(SO cute!) and generally making all types of throat sounds of one kind or another when he wants attention - which is usually 58 minutes out of every 60. First, he throws behaviors - does some of his obedience tricks to get my attention - which usually works every time. Next he presents me with one of his toys or chewies in my hand or lap. But if somehow I do manage to ignore that and he thinks I've ignored him far too long(especially when I'm on YT), he gets righteously hurt, will get down on the floor in front of me and bark earnestly, turning his little head up and to one side, one eye fixated on mine, muzzle pointed upward slightly and letting rip with the barks! Still, he's such a good boy that if I still don't give in to his wants, tell him "Quiet", he gives it up completely, shoots me a cold look over his retreating back and goes down the hall, gets up on the bed with his back to the door and sulks all alone. He knows that gets to me more than anything, knowing he's down in the other part of the house by himself feeling lonely.
He demands his time and will take no excuses before the manipulation tactics start - or else I'm given a very cold shoulder - or butt - at that's what I see first when I walk into the bedroom to make up with him.
