With constant pooping and gas, his system is clearly not agreeing with this food, so I'd get him off of it asap as GI problems are no fun and not comfy. I'd switch to something that has perhaps a different protein and carb source and/or if he wasn't having these issues on RC, then use a similar ingred food to that.
