And is it something dangerous???
Merry Piper, age one and a half, thinks she is in charge of all things wildlife. She wears a bell on her collar partly so we know where she is at all times (she's a mischief maker) and partly to give warning to rabbits and squirrels who frequent our property. Tonight, she crawled over my shoulder to lick my cheek which is, oddly, one way she asks to go outside. The aroma that emerged right by my face was unbelievable! Her whole head smelled like a urine-soaked zoo exhibit--she must have gotten into something when she went outside earlier and I hadn't realized it. I tried to clean her fur, but she apparently
wants to smell this way. When I let her and Finn outside, they immediately were on the trail of something I couldn't see in the darkness.
We've had a lot of reports of foxes in our immediate area. Could this smell be fox urine? Also, what do I do if she's going after foxes? (Or raccoons? She weighs seven lbs.)
