My 5 lb 15 yr old William had severe pancreatitis years ago and was it showed up on routine blood work 6 months ago. Elevated amylase 1200 (normal less than 400), Started making chicken/rice/veggie food. He refuses the veggies and most of the rice but eats the chicken (2 ½ Tablespoons twice a day) and his weight is stable. He walks a half mile a day and is very active. Amylase is down to 800. Any ideas as to how I can improve his numbers? He's just a picky eater? I supplement his diet with a 2 tablespoons of Royal Canine low fat gastrointestinal canned food. |
