I'm switching to Heartgard today without flea prevention. Unfortunately finances have become a major issue and this was much less expensive. I got a 6 month supply for $35, less than what two months of Advantage Multi or Trifexus was costing me. I was told that if fleas became an issue I could just give him a single dose of Nexguard. He was vaccinated yesterday so I'm holding off on the heartworm meds until today.
