I only brush Cody really well to make sure there are no mats in his hair, summer I bathe him a few days before his appointment, so I guess yes, I groom him before the groomer, I feel if you hand over a messy pup not much care will be given to details , but, if your pup appears to be well maintained you will get a perfectly groomed baby. Just my opinion.
