We really think it may be a possibility, he was tested for coccidia at his wellness check the morning after we got him, and tested negative and didn't start coughing until the 2nd day we had him. After the seizure the 3rd day and CPR performed by my husband and I and Emergency trip to the vet, they re-tested for coccidia and it was positive. I only have one other animal, a 14 year old chihuahua who is healthy other than conjestive heart failure. All other siblings from the litter are fine, so I hate to speculate on how it all came about. Hopefully NOT from the well vet check up, but also a possibility I guess. But thankfully he is on his way to getting healthy!
