I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well. I don't have any better advice re: puppy excercise, I just wanted to give you a quick visual.
Our youngest, Ernie, plays fetch by himself. He brings a toy to bed, then he starts growling at it and jumping on it. He then throws it off the bed and then runs down and gets it. He does this several times, until finally he is tired. He then proceeds to sit on the poor toy, with a very smug look on his face
