I have not bred my male yorkie, but just wanted to give my 2¢. I think it depends on your male. Some dogs(male or female) don't do well with the same sex. My yorkie, Rasta, only has tolerance for one other dog and that's because she's a year older than him and was here first. Does your male generally get along with other dogs? Especially the males? If so, then I don't see a problem with keeping a male pup but I would definitely watch them very closely the first few months until they establish a pecking order.
