Sophie had a tear from running in the backyard about 9 months after her surgery for both of her luxating patellas.

Recovery for her was 8 weeks on crate rest, 4 weeks on crate rest with a few exceptions and then 4 weeks of being kept on a leash with no jumping or running. We had to start physio with her the day after she came home which was 2 days after surgery as well as icing for the first week or so and then icing and warm compresses before and after her short walks. To be honest, she is still working on gaining her muscles and a little unstable in her back legs - but she had some set backs during the luxating patella surgery recovery so she hadn't gotten back to herself from that surgery before she was put back on crate rest.

As for cost we paid $2400 for the acl surgery and $4000 for her luxating patellas.

I send lots of positive thoughts for you and your little one, it sucks seeing them in pain and being uncomfortable!
