Gwen ... you might check with vets in your area for a good breeder! Any good breeder has
lots of contact with their vet! We were fortunate and actually found a vet that breeds and shows Yorkies so naturally she specializes in this breed. She didn't have any babies at that time and she referred us to a breeder friend of hers who also raises show dogs and that's where we found our baby Toto! She is absolutely the biggest "Yorkie lover" I have ever heard of ... it doesn't matter if they are going to be evaluated "show quality" or not, I thought we would have to "arm wrestle" her for Toto even after we bought her!!
She just loves all her babies ... and although I didn't quite understand it at the time ... I really appreciate her for that. She had to get to know us before considering us for one of her babies ... honestly, I don't know if it could have been any worse if we had been trying to adopt a human child!!
