My friend has an appointment to get her two girls spayed and now the smaller one just went into heat. Is it ok for the spay to continue (the vet doing the spay says yes) or should she wait to have it done? She's nervous because she's heard horror stories of excessive bleeding in the uterus leading to the death of the dog. I don't blame her for being nervous, but it'd be nice to give her some solid advise. Thanks in advance!
