The standard says up to 7lbs, how-ever the standard also has no disqualifications other than color. So if your gal does get somewhat above 7lbs that does not automatically mean she is not worthy of either showing or breeding.


Only you know the relationship you have with this breeder - but it sounds maybe as if this would be your first foray into showing - am I correct?


The if you have established a long term relationship of trust with this breeder - and I assume you have researched her over the years you have been involved in Yorkies - then I would weigh very heavily on your breeders honest opinion on her fitness to show and her ultimate weight.
