Many dogs can't have certain things that can't be found to cook in home cooked food or even raw that makes the prescription dry food the only thing they can eat. But at the end of the day one dog is going to do well on one thing that another dog may not but raw is very risky.
I'm definitely going to do more research- it seems perhaps home COOKED is best and less risky. Weruva's wet food seems almost as good as home cooking if time is an issue (it definitely will be sometimes), and I have seen some homemade, local brands but I don't like that the homemade, local brands are not really regulated at all so it's a no go!
