The myth that dogs needed it for their teeth has been debunked (bones, dental chew, teeth brushing, proper dental care will take care of that.) I am wondering why it's popular if it seems (from what I have researched) that it does not hold a candle to "real food (whether raw or cooked)" or premium wet foods. Or is there a benefit to dry foods I don't know? Thanks so much. | Some dogs with like IBD who have food allergy's have to have a special food with a man made protein. It might sound rough but my dog went from throwing up and diarrhea multiple times a day to neither and actually being happy instead of miserable. Obviously I can't find this man made protein to home cook. My dog as much as I wanted her to like home cooking just dosen't and we tried multiple recipes it just was not something she wanted. Bones and brushing and such also dosent necessarily take care of teeth it's really about genetics and even preventive care dosen't always stop the need for dental cleanings.
