As far as the research I have done which includes many articles by vet nutritionists its not and very risky and even more so if you have children, elderly people or people with compromised immune systems around these raw fed dogs. People tend to think dogs can't get the same illnesses as people can get from raw meet but they can. Home cooking when done right is the same as raw just with out the risks. Many dogs can't have certain things that can't be found to cook in home cooked food or even raw that makes the prescription dry food the only thing they can eat. But at the end of the day one dog is going to do well on one thing that another dog may not but raw is very risky.
