Misty for our little guy it was just a few little drops at a time too, but often enough that they added up. He was an outside dog before we adopted him, so I think some of it was stress for him too. New home, and he had to adapt to a whole new way of life and had NO INSIDE MANNERS! He would go outside to actually pee, but was constantly trying to mark his territory in the house. We also have another older male dog too, so they were working out their pack order. We've had him since mid-November and things have definitely improved. Lots of patience. Good luck!
