Harry's only ever tried it 3 times - once when Andy hung his coat in the 'wrong' place  , once when we went to my parents house and he fancied the corner of their washing machine  , and again, at theirs, when I think he got the whiff of their (deceased) female Boxer on my dad's favourite chair.... 
A short, sharp, quite loud "Aaaaagh, NO" and I must admit he's never done it since - anywhere. I felt a bit cruel at the time - but, for us, it worked...  |

Yes, I caught him in the act a few times a couple of months back and thought I was fortunate to do so since it was an opportunity to correct. I thought it was all over and done with until I noticed marking in the regular spot about 2 weeks ago PLUS a new spot where the cat hangs out and it wasn't a few drops there. It was like a yellow river and I only found it because he did it in front of me AGAIN when he stressed about the mailman putting some mail through the door.
I'm convinced his behavior is stress related i.e. a coping mechanism so I will continue the banding and see how it goes for the next 8 weeks. I can't think what else to do!
