Benadryl won't do much for pain. The recommended dosage for Benadryl is 1mg/lb. I think the vet is right, but you need to check the math. I am thinking that the liquid is usually 12.5/5 ml. 5 ml is one teaspoon. Maybe try a cold compress on her hip? I am sure she will feel better tomorrow.
For future reference, they really should not be giving her two shots at once. The recommendation now is to separate them, but she may have had discomfort anyway.
