I took her to the vet tonight and he could not find anything, obviously, wrong with her. Her temperature is normal, and she is not constipated although her tummy is swollen. She ate her food and then looked very miserable, so I picked her up and she felt floppy. I put her into her bed and she went straight to sleep and has been asleep for 2 hours now. I am just concerned that she has had too big a dose of painkiller? Perhaps I am just being a neurotic mommy?! I am constantly checking her breathing! If she sleeps like this I won't be able to tell if the injection helped her problem.
What do you think - should I phone the after hours number at the vet and tell them she is so sleepy? |
Yes, I would call the after hours number, just to be sure everything is as it should be.
