Alright, we just got back from the vet. They did X-rays and see that it looks like the entire intestine is inflamed. I am having the X-rays sent off to get a second opinion as the vet recommended it. She thinks it's IBD, but we will get more information tomorrow once the specialist is able to take a look at it.
They sent us home with a bunch of medications to help control his symptoms. I just gave him liquid Panacur, he will get Sucralfate in 2 hours and then Metronidazole in 2 more hours. I am going to go do some research on what each of these medications is for and hopefully he will start to feel better soon. I am really crossing my fingers that it's not cancer. I guess we will know for sure tomorrow. He is starting on a gastro wet food tonight and we will keep him on that as long as we need to. |
